Pachmarhi

Pachmarhi is a lovely hill station hidden within the Satpura ranges. It is in the state of Madhya Pradesh in India. The tourists will see around them forests of wild bamboo, jamun and sal. The Satpura National Park is worth a visit by the tourists. It was setup in 1981 and has an area of 524 sq. km. You will see the towering peaks of Dhoopgarh and Mahadeo hills. The evergreen dense forests are full of teak, sal and bamboo. The park is home to a number of animals and birds. Some of the Cave Shelters with paintings are the Bharat Neer, Asthachal, Harper’s Cave, Chieftain’s Cave and Kites Crag. You will admire the skill of the painter and his paintings.

To reach Pachmarhi, the nearest airport is in Bhopal where regular flights from Mumbai, Indore, Delhi, Gwalior and Jabalpur land. The airport is 195km from Pachmarhi. There are bus services from a number of cities in India. The nearest railhead is Piparya that is 47km from Pachmarhi. Hire a taxi from the station and reach Pachmarhi.
