Niseko has five different resorts and is one of Japan’s top five resorts. It is equipped with a lift system like gondolas and covered chairlifts. Niseko has a low altitude and many tree runs. The base for Niseko Ski Resort is in Hokkaido. Niseko has a varied terrain. The skiers can go for tree runs like Miharashi, strawberry fields of the mind blowing enormous power fields off The Peak. The beginners have a chance to ski also as there are at the base of the mountain some beautifully groomed slopes. At Niseko, the ski season lasts from December to May. The mountain elevation here is 1308 m. Night skiing is also possible as Niseko has the largest lit ski area in Japan. The moonlit night provides an enjoyable experience, and the mountain takes on a different look.
4. Kashmir – India
Kashmir provides exciting winter sports activities for tourist from around the world. Gulmarg and Khulanmarg are Kashmir’s winter sports destinations. Gulmarg has the only Heli-skiing resort in Asia. It is the best ski resort nestled in the lap of the Himalayas. The tourists go ice-skating, playing ice hockey and cross country skating in Srinagar and Pahalgam.
The Jammu and Kashmir government has some good accommodation. You pass by the glistening glaciers as you ski in Sonmarg.
