Langkawi Cable Car
The Cable Car is a popular tourist attraction in Langkawi Island, Malaysia. For a ride in this cable car, you have first to reach the base station located at the foothill of the Machincang Mountain. The views all around are spectacular. The surrounding flora and fauna are simply awesome. An intermediate cable car station takes you to the eastern ridges. As you descend upon the eastern cliffs, you notice its three vertical chimneys. The 360 degree views let the visitors take a close look at the unique geological formations of the Machincang range. You get an out of the world spectacular view of the 450 million years ago, formed ranges.
The sky cab covers a distance of 1,700 meters from the base station to the middle station. The visitors from the mid station walk up to the viewing platforms with the sky as a roof above them. Langkawi Island stands magnificently apart with its scenery. As you stretch your gaze, the other islands can also be seen.
A flight of stairs from the platforms lands you to the top of the Machincang Mountain. Hold your breath, as from here you get great views of southern Thailand. The mountain top brings the tourists close to the commanding views over Langkawi, and in amazement and delight you seem to touch nature.
Sky Bridge
This Sky Bridge is built on top of the Machincang Mountain. The bridge hangs at 100m above ground level. The tourists can gain access to the Sky Bridge from the Top Station. It is suspended by a single pylon. The Sky Bridge swings with its visitors enjoying every moment on it. You fall short of words to describe the views around you. It gives you a thrilling feeling as you see what you could have never before dreamt of like the virgin jungle with a splash of hues of greens and colors. The entire Sky Bridge measures 125m in length. You proudly stand and think, ‘I am the monarch, of all that I view’.
Sky Trail
Visitors step out at the middle station of the Sky Cab and take the nature trek into sheer wilderness. The guides help you to know about the things you come across this Sky Trail. The vistas of natural Langkawi are in an eye to eye contact with you as you proceed on your trail. The visitors see unseen and unthinkable nature around every moment with all the coos, chirps, hoots, growls, whistles and a dash of colors on all sides.
Sky Pos
Sky Pos is a unique experience for every visitor. It is a venture jointly by Pos Malaysia and Panorama Langkawi. It is from here that you share with your family the unbelievable moments by just dropping a picture postcard in a red post box. This Sky Pos is atop 708 meters above sea level. The visitors do not have to wait to reach home to tell all about Langkawi for they just drop a picture postcard of their choice in the Sky Pos. Here atop the mountain photo contests too are held.
