This attraction sits relatively close to the Nairobi National Park. It houses elephant calves as well as rhinos and serves as a habitat for them to provide protection from poachers. Admission is relatively cheap, and it is an excellent way to get up close and personal with the elephants and other animals that reside here.
Giraffe Center
This center breeds giraffes that are endangered and provides a conservation and educational program based around that. Here, you will also find an abundance of warthogs, and you can participate in giraffe feedings and even get a kiss from one.
Mamba Village
It is usually the third stop that people make when in Nairobi (after the elephant orphanage and giraffe center). This fun park will allow you to see crocodiles, ostriches, and more. You will be quite surprised that you can interact up close with the crocodiles and even hold a baby.
Kenyatta International Conference Center
It is arguably the best tourist place to get a far-range view of the sprawling and beautiful city of Nairobi. When here, you will be guided to the top of the center that is saucer-shaped. Depending on the amount of smog and fog in the air, you will be able to see as far as the national park. The prices for this attraction are relatively less considering the amount of value that you receive. It is one of the must see places in Nairobi.
U.S. Embassy Memorial Site
The U.S. Embassy Memorial Site carries a unique history in the city of Nairobi. Back in 1998, a blast had killed and injured many. This site serves as a memorial for all of the people who were there and who died on that day. It is a unique and uplifting attraction that demonstrates the real pride of the Nairobians.
Tana River
If you are interested in white water rafting, then stop by the Tana River. There are 14 waterfalls here, and it is the perfect spot for rafting while enjoying a full BBQ lunch that you can purchase nearby.
Nairobi National Museum
At this museum, guests will be able to experience Kenyan culture and history. There is a live snake compound located within the facility, which is quite neat. And while you are here, be sure to make some time for the National Railway Museum. Here, you will be able to learn about Kenya’s incredible railroad history. The site holds rolling stock that dates all the way back to the country’s colonial period.

The Karen Blixen Museum is Out of Africa author’s old home. The house has now been turned into a museum, and you can take a bus or taxi to the outskirts of Nairobi to see it.
