Al Khor Museum
The Al Khor Museum is quite a famous museum. It accurately represents the way inhabitants lived during the Neolithic and Bronze ages. The building situated over two floors offers a separate set of unique exhibits on each floor. Ghilan, the myth surrounding the museum, is also on display in the hall. Along with it are marine life and other significant artifacts too.
Museum of Islamic Art
Designed by IM Pei, the Museum of Islamic Art is on the Corniche. From the moment you lay your eyes on the majestic palm-lined entrance to the building itself, that is a masterpiece of light and space, then, you know that you are in for a something special. With the collection spread over three floors, the first two floors house the permanent collection comprising of textiles, ceramics, enamel work and glass.
Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum
The Shiekh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum has a magnificent collection of individual artwork tracing back to the 60s. And today, it has grown to an enormous collection that is available for public viewing. The 5,000 square meter building offers more than 3,000 unique objects. These include ancient manuscripts, significant archaeological discoveries, textiles, carpets, and even an assortment of metal objects and historic cars. Al Koot Fort
Al Koot Fort is a popular cultural attraction in the city of Doha. Located on the outskirts of the city, it was formerly a museum. However, it is still a fun and unique place to take some photos. Built way back in 1880, the Al Koot Fort carries a significant amount of historical value to the people and community where it stands.
Clock Tower
Located near the Grand Mosque, the clock tower features neat-looking Arabic numerals on its face. An older clock tower, nonetheless, it offers one stunning view of the surrounding area once you’re at the top.
Doha Heritage Village

Al Zubara Fort
One of the final stops on your checklist has got to be the Al Zubara Fort. It is just a short drive outside of Doha. The fort has a newly renovated 1938 museum containing ancient artifacts and unique exhibits. It has circular and square-shaped towers that provide thick walls. However, what a lot of people don’t know is that it served as a coast-guard station for quite some time until recently being taken down in the 80s.
