Kasol

Manikaran

Manikaran is just 3km from Kasol. It is at a height of 1700m. It is famous for its hot springs where the tourists take a dip in the spring waters. The spring waters are said to have curative properties. You will be amazed to know that rice, vegetables, etc. can be actually cooked in the hot waters. Manikaran is a pilgrim place for Hindus and Sikhs. You can visit the Ramchandra and Shivaji temples. There is also a gurdwara besides these temples.

Kullu

This is a charming hill station spread on either side of the river Beas. It is 42km from Kasol. The tourists are struck with awe to see the mossy green meadows, rushing streams and the brooks meandering along east to west. The adventure lover finds it a haven for trekking, mountaineering, etc. The quiet painter can also put up his canvas and paint beautiful natural scenery completely undisturbed while at his work. The air is pure, and tourists find themselves away from heat, dust and pollution.

Trekking

The Parvati River provides a good facility for angling for it abounds with trout. The tourists have to seek the permission of the forest department and should also have a permit for angling. You then proceed by hiring a cab or a private vehicle from the railway station to reach your destination, the quite little hill station of Kasol.
